He set a new national record in the men’s single sculls, completing the race in an outstanding 6 minutes 42 seconds. Akash shared his enthusiasm: “Breaking the record here on Dal Lake motivates me even more for the Olympics.”

National coach Meera Joshi emphasized the significance of such events in preparing athletes for international stages:
