The plan focuses on enhancing infrastructure, nurturing young talent, and implementing scientific training methodologies. According to Mandaviya, the government will prioritize increased funding for sports development programs, improve access to modern facilities, and encourage the involvement of private sectors to create a robust ecosystem supporting athletes.
Key initiatives include:
- Establishment of state-of-the-art training centers across the country
- Promotion of grass-root level sports to identify and develop potential athletes early
- Integration of advanced sports science and technology in coaching
- Encouragement of international collaborations and exposure through participation in global tournaments
Mandaviya also highlighted the importance of fostering a sporting culture that values discipline, resilience, and teamwork. This vision aims not only to produce Olympic champions but also to make sports an integral part of Indian society.
With the government’s renewed commitment and a strategic roadmap, India aims to significantly enhance its performance in various sporting disciplines and attain a prominent position on the global sports stage by 2047.
