India Ramps Up Preparation for Commonwealth Games 2026: Sports Minister Holds Key Meeting

New Delhi, India – On May 15, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya led a high-level meeting to review India’s readiness for the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. The meeting aimed to accelerate preparations and finalize strategies to maximize India’s performance at the prestigious event. India plans to send a strong contingent across multiple disciplines to build on its recent successes in international competitions.

The minister stressed the importance of early planning and resource allocation for training, coaching, and infrastructure development. Officials and sports federation representatives discussed the progress of:
