Massive Water Sports Showdown: 52 Events, 19 Teams Ready to Battle in Tehri

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has announced the 25th All India Water Sports Cluster, scheduled from April 8 to 12, 2026, at Tehri Lake in Uttarakhand. This prestigious event will feature 19 teams competing across 52 thrilling water sports events, including canoeing, rowing, and kayaking.

• Participants: Over 440 athletes from state police and paramilitary forces
• Gender Breakdown: 130 women and 310 men
• Duration: 5 days of competition (April 8 – April 12, 2026)
• Opening Ceremony: Inaugurated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami

Inspector General Manu Maharaj highlighted that the event will emphasize skill, endurance, and teamwork among the Central Armed Police Forces and State Police Forces. The opening ceremony will also be attended by ITBP Director General Shatrujeet Kapur and other senior officials.
